Hey guys :) I don’t know about you, but over the years I’ve realised that improving home wellness doesn’t mean a total renovation or buying all the latest gadgets. Sometimes, small, simple upgrades can make the biggest difference for your family’s health and happiness.
Here are some of my favourites that really make a difference.
1. Upgrade Your Water
It might sound obvious, but clean water is literally the foundation of home wellness.
For drinking water, we use a system from The Watershop that uses two cartidges, one with a carbon block and one that targets fluoride.
We (obviously) use and adore our Vida Pura shower filter to minimise the nasties being absorbed into our skin and improve our skin and hair.
2. Bring Nature Inside
Houseplants aren’t just pretty , they filter the air and improve mood. Even a couple of easy-to-care-for plants like pothos or snake plants in your living areas can make a noticeable difference.
We pick up our plants from local grower but check our your local farmers market for a good deal.
3. Swap Harsh Cleaning Products
Traditional cleaners can irritate skin and lungs especially if you have kids running around. Switching to fragrance-free, plant-based products is such an easy swap and gives your home a fresher, healthier feel.

4. Lighting & Ambience
Lighting has a bigger impact on wellness than we realise. Harsh overhead lights can stress your nervous system and trick your circadian rhythm, while soft, warm lights or dimmers create a more relaxing environment.
I have lamps with warm bulbs in the living areas and only use these after dark.
5. Mindful Air Quality
Air is something we forget about until it bothers us! Opening windows regularly, adding a small air purifier, or even using natural scents like lavender can reduce irritants and improve sleep and mood.
My two cents…
Wellness at home doesn’t have to be complicated. Focus on small, thoughtful changes: ✔ Clean water (think shower filters!) ✔ Plants and fresh air ✔ Gentle cleaning products ✔ Soft lighting and calm spaces ✔ Air it out
